The Trinitarian Congregational Church will be hosting its 55th annual Antiques Show on Friday and Saturday, November 6th and 7th, at the TriCon Church, 54 Walden Street, Concord, from 10-5 on Friday and 10 - 4 on Saturday.

The Antiques Show raises monies to support mission and outreach efforts. All proceeds to the church, from entry fees, dealer rents, and café sales, are given away to outreach organizations that support hunger initiatives, domestic violence agencies, preschool and early education scholarships, veterans' needs, and the LGBTQ+ community.  Offering fine antiques, furniture, glassware, prints, jewelry, art work, and more(!), 3 floors of quality dealers are on hand to greet the over 800 customers who come back year after year. Our building is fully accessible.

The TriCon Café is a hit every year, offering freshly made sandwiches and soups and a place to sit so you can make a day of shopping and lunch.  We also sell many homemade desserts, including pies (sliced and whole), cookies, and other yummy baked treats.

ACTON, MA – Discovery Museum will host a free-of-charge pop-up clothing shop, called “Bessie’s Closet,” November 6 - 8, 2026. Donations of new or gently used clean clothing in any size are being collected through November 1. A collection box is located in the Museum’s lobby.

Bessie’s Closet will be open to all on Friday, November 6, 3:30pm – 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Museum admission is not required to shop but is also not included.

Bessie’s Closet began as a staff-led initiative in 2022. More than 17,000lbs of clothing have been collected and redistributed since then.

Due to popular demand, the Friends of the Boxborough Library used book sale will continue as a three-day event. The weekend begins with a Preview Sale for members on Friday, November 6th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Memberships will be available at the door). The main public sale takes place on Saturday, November 7th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The "Everything Must Go" sale will be held on Sunday, November 8th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Standard size bags will be provided; pay $5 to fill each bag however you like.

The sale will be held in the meeting room of the Sargent Memorial Library, 427 Massachusetts Avenue, Boxborough, MA 01719. Proceeds will support additional library programs and museum passes. Cash and checks only.

Concord Youth Theatre's Mainstage Company Presents Shrek ! “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek. Irreverently fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre. CYT’s Mainstage Company is made up of local actors in grades 5-12.

Worcester Chamber Music Society continues its 21st Season with a concert titled “Exuberant Voices” at Assumption University in Worcester on November 8.  A reception will follow the concert.

Martinů’s Three Madrigals are a complex blend of the English madrigals and energetic Bohemian and Moravian folk music that he loved. Notable 20th century Czech composer Martinů fled the German invasion of France in 1941 by moving to the United States, eventually spending influential time in Massachusetts and teaching at the Berkshire Music School. Beethoven’s Cello Sonata No. 5, written after a three-year hiatus from composition, marked a radical stylistic departure from his earlier works and ushered in his late style. Marking the beginning of his late creative period, this piece was written in a most challenging time for Beethoven, largely characterized by profound deafness. Saint- Saëns’ Quartet No. 2 is rhythmically dynamic, jaunty in tone, energetic, and exuberant; the composer wrote this during a particularly banner year of personal highs, which included his marriage and the birth of his son, André.

One Man, Two Guvnors is a West End and Broadway hit comedy play written by English playwright Richard Bean, adapted from Carlo Goldoni’s 1743 Italian classic The Servant of Two Masters.
Set in 1963 Brighton, England out-of-work and financially-strapped skiffle player Francis Henshall has taken on the job of servant to Roscoe Crabbe, a small-time East London hood who is trying to collect a debt from his fiancee’s father. However, “Roscoe” is really his twin sister, Rachel…who has been posing as her own dead brother…who was killed by her own boyfriend, Stanley Stubbers…for whom Francis also works as his servant.
Still with us? Further complications are prompted by several letters, a very heavy trunk, several unlucky audience volunteers, an extremely elderly waiter, and Francis’ pursuit of his two passions: Dolly, a very feminist bookkeeper, and filling his own stomach.
The hilarity never stops in this award-winning slapstick farce in its knockabout quest to answer these simple questions: How can any man (especially Francis!) serve two masters without either of them finding out about the other? Can he pursue – and win- the girl he fancies? And, somehow, can he get a decent meal in the process?
One Man, Two Guvnors opened on Broadway in 2012 to critical acclaim and famously starred James Corden as Francis Henshall, a performance that won him a Tony Award for Best Actor.
Amy Poli of West Concord takes on the role of Dolly, a quick-witted, observant, flirtatious and politically aware bookkeeper who sees through everyone almost immediately, and is the target of Francis’ affection. Amy is excited to make her debut with The Concord Players and on the east coast theater scene after spending a decade as a Burlesque and Cabaret performer in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Chelmsford resident Rebecca Bishop portrays Pauline, who begins as a lovestruck ingenue but grows in confidence and independence throughout the play. Rebecca has previously appeared on the Concord stage as an award-winning clown in The 39 Steps and more recently involved with She Kills Monsters while keeping busy working at the Discovery Museum in Acton, appearing in Jordan's Furniture commercials, and producing short films and viral bucket content.
Other local residents behind-the-scenes include Costume Designer Tina Zannieri, Lighting Designer Susan Tucker and Assistant Stage Manager Bill Fisher of Concord, and Set Co-Designer Allen Bantly and Props Designer Anne Bantly of Carlisle.
Angela Richardson of Carlisle and Mike Lague of Sudbury Co-Produce this madcap production, an exhausting experience both on- and off-stage, and will also be for audience members alike!

Princeton Arts presents A BRUSH WITH NATURE, a solo exhibition by Barry Van Dusen, now on view at The Gallery at Briarwood (65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester, MA) from November 1 through January 7, 2027. The Gallery is open daily from 10am – 5pm. All are welcome at a reception on Sunday, November 8, from 2 – 4pm, when Barry will give a short presentation sharing his techniques for creating dynamic nature paintings in watercolor.

Barry has worked in a variety of media, but transparent watercolor is his first love. He spent many years developing a watercolor style that stresses acute observation and strong draftsmanship while maintaining the primacy of artistic expression.

Barry has lived in Princeton since 1982, and is a Founding Member of the Princeton Arts Society. During his early years in Princeton, Barry volunteered at the Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary, initiating a relationship with Mass Audubon.

In 2019, Barry finished a project visiting and painting at all of Mass Audubon’s sanctuaries throughout Massachusetts. This project resulted in a book, FINDING SANCTUARY, published by Mass Audubon in Spring 2020. Most recently, Barry illustrated A YEAR OF BIRDS, writings on birds from the journal of Henry David Thoreau. Published by Mercer Press in 2024, it includes more than 150 drawings and paintings by Barry.

Barry was elected a full member of Britain’s Society of Wildlife Artists in 1994, and he contributes annually to their London exhibition. In 2014, Barry was named Master Artist at the annual BIRDS IN ART show (Wausau, Wisconsin) - an award which recognizes artists who have shown “outstanding achievement in using bird imagery in their artwork”.

As part of the Fall 2026 “A World of Music” concert series, Middlesex Community College will welcome the internationally acclaimed Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band. The performance will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 8 in MCC’s Concert Hall in Bedford.

"The World of Music concert series at Middlesex Community College is a beautiful gift to the campus and the broader community,” said Nathaniel Seelen, clarinetist and founding member of Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band. “We're delighted to be returning this fall to share our music and culture with you."

Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band brings passion, virtuosity, and contagious energy to every performance. The Wheels improvise with the intimacy of chamber music and the intensity of a rowdy dance band. Their engaging contemporary interpretation of Jewish music is irresistible to audiences.

Additional “A World of Music” performances include the Bedford 25th Anniversary Celebration Concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 30 in Bedford; a performance by the Lowell Chamber Orchestra at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 22 in Lowell; and a Student Recital at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 7 in Bedford.

MCC kicked off the Fall season with a combined celebration of the Lowell Bicentennial and 25th anniversary of “A World of Music” on Sunday, October 11.
All concerts are free and open to the public.

The Princeton Arts Society is a nonprofit organization promoting the arts in Central Massachusetts through programs, events, and shows. 

The Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library Inc. will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, November 14 at 2:00 p.m. at First Parish Church United, 48 Main Street. This year’s featured speaker will be bestselling local author Meg Mitchell Moore.

The business portion of the afternoon will begin at 2:00, and Meg will speak at 2:30. The public is invited to attend and enjoy the speaker; only members can vote during the business meeting.

Meg will discuss her latest novel, Down with the Shipmans. The book follows three sisters as they return to their family’s summer home on the New Hampshire coast for a reunion. When the sisters find out their father plans to sell the cherished beach house, they have to decide how far they are willing to go to preserve the Shipman bond. After the presentation, Meg will take questions from the audience and sign books. A limited number of copies of Down with the Shipmans, along with some of Meg’s earlier books, will be available for purchase. You are also welcome to bring your own copy and have it personally signed.

The Friends’ business meeting will include reports from the president and treasurer, and attendees will vote to accept the proposed budget and the proposed slate of officers and bylaw changes for the coming year.

Parking is available at the church, on Lincoln Street, and in marked spaces on Connell Drive. Additional parking lots are available at Roudenbush Community Center, Frost School, Town Hall, and the Westford Police Department.

The Friends invite you to stop by their Raffle on the day of the Annual Meeting at First Parish Church United, 48 Main Street. Prizes include gift cards to local businesses, passes to local attractions, a getaway hotel stay, and the Caldecott Medal and Honor books for young readers.

Stow, Mass. Nov 14 – The New Revival Coffeehouse at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley (UUCAV) kicks off its 2026-2027 season on November 14 with Gentlemen’s Gambit, a Boston bluegrass supergroup composed entirely of current students at the Berklee College of Music. The group plays both original and traditional music and draws heavy influence and material from groups like Alison Krauss & Union Station, The Lonesome River Band, The Bluegrass Album Band, and The Punch Brothers.

The band features virtuosic instrumentalists, tight vocals, and intricate arrangements and is composed of Devin Jones (guitar), Sam Stage (fiddle), Quinn Eastburn (mandolin), Micah Philipp (banjo), and Arlea Forbes-Prater (bass).

Once again, the Boxborough Historical Society is proud to present Ted Reinstein speaking this year on “Greetings from Breed’s Hill: Fact & Folklore on America’s 250th”.  The presentation will take place in the Grange Room of the Boxborough Town Hall (29 Middle Road) on Sunday November 15 starting at 2:00 PM.   Admission is free, all are welcome, and registration is not required.

Ted has been a reporter for the WCVB TV (Channel 5) Chronicle team for over 30 years during which he has garnered many national awards including an Emmy in 2018. From every corner of New England, he’s found the offbeat, the unique, the moving, and the just plain memorable, all while telling the enduringly colorful stories of the region’s people and places. “Fun & Folklore” is a fast-paced, fun, and informative look at some of the unique stories he has done and researched relative to the Revolutionary War period, as well as some later history.

The Boxborough Minutemen Company is open to anyone of least 18 years of age, regardless of gender or town of residence, who is interested in service to the Town and/or perpetuating the memory of the Minutemen of 1775.  You do not need to be a marcher or revolutionary war re-enactor to join the Company.

Our members may participate in any number of the Company's activities including marching in parades and town celebrations, organizing the annual Fifer's Day town festival, performing seasonal clean-ups on Route 111, sponsoring the Boy and Cub Scouts, providing volunteers to the FreeBee Market, community supper, and other service organizations, and participating in our various social functions. The Company also provides financial support to a variety of service organizations and sponsors a number of annual scholarships to Boxborough students who are continuing their education after high school.

The Littleton Historical Society will present “Where the Hell’s Our Bell?” on Thursday, November 19 at 7:30 pm at the Congregational Church of Littleton at 330 King Street. History says that Lord Lyttelton in England offered a silver bell to any colonial town that took his name, hence the town name of Littleton. So, where’s our bell? Stolen by another town? Acton? And why do 10% of local towns have this same bell story? And how could this even be true when Lyttelton himself was only 5 years old at the time? Please join us as Littleton historian Dan Boudillion reveals his research behind the whole sordid story, including the ORIGINAL name of our town. Light refreshments will be served.
 

A longtime community tradition returns this November as the Acton Lions Club prepares to host its 45th Annual Ski, Skate & Gear Sale on Friday and Saturday, November 20–21. This year's event will feature a new location at the Boardwalk Campus (Gates and Douglas Schools) on Spruce Street in Acton.

For 45 years, the annual sale has provided area residents with an opportunity to buy and sell affordable winter sports equipment while supporting the charitable work of the Acton Lions Club.

Shoppers can expect to find a wide selection of new and gently used winter sports equipment, including skis, boots, poles, ice skates and other seasonal gear in a variety of sizes. The sale offers an affordable option for individuals and families, young kids to adults, preparing for the winter season, particularly those looking to outfit growing children or replace outgrown equipment.

The event begins Friday evening with consignment and equipment drop-off from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Additional drop-off hours will be available Saturday morning from 8 to 10 a.m. Community members are encouraged to bring clean, gently used equipment that is still in good condition.

The main sale will take place on Saturday, November 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Early arrival is encouraged, as popular items and sizes may sell quickly.

Consignors will receive 70 percent of the selling price for each item sold. Payment and pickup of unsold merchandise will take place Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. All payments and remaining merchandise must be collected during this time. Items not picked up by 6:30 p.m. will be considered donations to the Acton Lions Club.
Beyond providing affordable sporting goods, the annual sale serves an important charitable purpose. Proceeds help fund the Acton Lions Club's community service projects and charitable contributions supporting local, national and international causes.

The event also promotes reuse and sustainability by giving quality sporting equipment a second life rather than allowing it to go unused in garages and basements.

The Acton Lions invite residents of Acton and surrounding communities to participate by consigning equipment, shopping for winter bargains or simply spreading the word about this long standing community event!

The holiday season returns to the heart of Boxborough on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, for the 93rd Annual Merrie Christmas Fair. The event spans the United Church of Christ Boxborough, the Community Center, and the Town Hall at 723 Massachusetts Avenue. Admission is free, and neighbors from Boxborough, Acton, and surrounding towns are invited to attend.

The fair features a variety of seasonal shopping options. Visitors can browse handcrafted items, including holiday ornaments, homemade knits, custom gifts, and hand-turned wooden creations. Fresh winter greens, centerpieces, and gifts will also be available. For vintage finds, shoppers can visit the curated jewelry table and explore the Town Hall Grange Room for the "Attic Treasures" sale.

In addition to shopping, the fair offers activities for all ages. The Sugar Plum Food Hall will serve breakfast and lunch alongside live music, baked goods, and hot cocoa—with appearances by a dancing Santa. This year, the snack bar features Oscar’s Burritos, serving breakfast and lunch options. Outside, families can enjoy a bouncy house and s’mores by the firepit, while a specialized children’s table inside features kids' crafts and gifts.

For those wishing to shop from home, the UCCB Online Auction opens November 11th at 8:00 AM and closes November 21st at 6:00 PM. The secure digital platform accepts credit cards and features one-of-a-kind items.

Proceeds from the fair enable the United Church of Christ Boxborough to continue its support of vital local and global outreach programs, including the FreeBee Market, Community Supper, Acton Food Pantry, and World Central Kitchen. This year, 10% of all fair profits will directly benefit A Friend in Need, a local emergency fund providing immediate support to neighbors in crisis.

Groton Community School will host its popular Community Home Tour on Saturday, Nov. 21, offering visitors a rare look inside distinctive and historic local properties while raising funds for early childhood education.

The self-guided, adults-only event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features showcase residences across Groton and Westford. Highlights include beautiful antique homes, a modern orchard estate, and the meticulously restored Donald Cameron House in Westford, which was featured on PBS’s "This Old House."

Tour-goers will start their day at Groton Community School (110 Boston Rd.), where they can enjoy complimentary coffee and donuts provided by Catalano Management/Route 65 Management. The school host site will also feature local artisans and vendors, a bake sale, and a Chance Drawing showcasing donated prizes from local businesses and families. The prize items will be on display at the school for public viewing starting Nov. 16.

Saints Vartanantz Armenian Church of Chelmsford will host its Annual Food Festival on Saturday, November 21, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Lunch and Dinner will be served all day, and will include Lamb Shish Kebab, Chicken Kebab and Losh Kebab (spiced Armenian burger), a vegetarian platter, and lehmejune (Armenia pizza pie) served with salad. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), celebrated annually on or around Nov 20, is a day dedicated to honoring the transgender community and raising awareness of the discrimination and challenges they face. Chelmsford’s event will provide a platform for visibility, support, and education, affirming the dignity and humanity of all transgender individuals.

There will be a candle-light procession to and around Chelmsford Town Common, followed by a vigil to remember and honor the individual names of those transgender people who lost their lives to anti-transgender violence in the past year. It is an opportunity for individuals to come together in solidarity and respect.

The first observance of Transgender Day of Remembrance was after the November 28, 1998, murder of Rita Hester, a 34-year-old Black transgender woman in Boston. Gwendolyn Ann Smith organized the first candlelight vigil on November 20, 1999, in San Francisco to memorialize Hester and other victims of anti-transgender violence. 
 

The Maynard-Clinton Lodge of Elks invites the community to an evening of fun, music, and giving back at a charity Music Bingo fundraiser on Saturday, November 21, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Lodge, located at 34 Powdermill Road in Maynard.

Admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Admission includes one bingo card for each of the four rounds of Music Bingo. Additional cards will be available for purchase at the event.

Guests can also try their luck with an assortment of raffle baskets and a 50/50 raffle. Attendees who bring items to donate will receive a free raffle ticket as a thank-you for their generosity. Suggested donations include full-sized toiletries, new socks, new washcloths, and coffee gift cards just to name a few.

All proceeds will benefit Veteran Pathways of New England, an organization dedicated to helping homeless and at-risk veterans on their journey toward stability, healing, and independent living. Through this fundraiser, the Maynard-Clinton Lodge of Elks hopes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.

Join Erin Shea Hogan for Songs and Ayres, a recital at the intersection of traditional folk ballad performance and early lute song accompanied by master celtic guitarist, Adam Hendey, and multi-instrumentalist Pablo Kennedy on lute. The repertoire will explore the connection between  two distinct and beloved pillars of English music, featuring selections from Dowland's Books of Songs and Ayres, and folk songs, Child Ballads, and their variants. 

While storytelling and collaboration are central to both genres, the two traditions approach these elements in different ways. The folk ballads are collaboratively arranged, based on various song collections and aural traditions, whereas the lute songs are composed works brought to life by a combination of historical accuracy and creative interpretation. By bringing these song traditions together, Hogan invites listeners to consider the ways both genres share investment in the expressive and expansive possibilities of the human voice.

The New Song Music Series will welcome critically acclaimed folk-pop singer-songwriter Hayley Reardon to Bedford on Saturday, November 21, 2026.

A Massachusetts native with more than 8 million streams on Apple Music alone, Reardon is also a storyteller whose evocative songs feel like postcards from a life on the road. She has shared the stage with Lori McKenna, Dar Williams, and Ed Sheeran, who welcomed her as his special guest at his Old Phone Pub pop-up in Ipswich, Massachusetts, in March 2025.

Performer Magazine describes Reardon’s music as “brilliantly moving folk/pop with a lyrical depth and soul,” while No Depression observes that “Reardon is truly a treasure.”

In addition to touring in the United States, Reardon has performed nearly 300 shows across Europe, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. She also received a six-month artist residency in Dachau, Germany.

Sounds of Stow’s 48th season under the direction of Barbara Jones focuses on music of “Connections”– past to present, culture to culture, voice to voice. The opening concert –2:00 pm, Sunday Nov. 22, connects an early Baroque motet by Padre Martini with the major feature, Maurice Durufle’s “Requiem” (1947). Trinity Episcopal Church, 81 Elm Street, Concord, MA provides the appropriately beautiful space for this belovedand moving setting of the requiem text, which draws on traditional chant melodies, flavored by harmonies that evoke music by compatriots Debussy and Faure.

Our season continues with further exploration of Christopher Tin’s exciting works, with “The Drop that Contained the Sea”, on Sunday, April 11, 2027 at Littleton High School. New singers are welcome to join us for an amazing adventure into evocative and joyous music that connects the water cycle to music rooted in many cultures. (see website for details.) Felixology: books, gifts, and art for the magical mind at 2 Walnut St in Maynard is holding a Thanksgiving-themed Grief Cafe on Sunday, November 22nd from 6-8pm. Holidays, like Thanksgiving, can be particularly difficult for grieving families and this event seeks to acknowledge that feeling of loss. Participants are invited to bring a food or drink that reminds them of a deceased loved one to share. If comfortable, they may share why the food or drink is meaningful. The featured book will be After Taste by Daria Lavelle. It is not necessary to bring a food or drink item to attend the Grief Cafe.

Felixology opened in late 2024 to honor the memory of the owner's late son Felix, who passed away at age 29 from Mesothelioma. Felix was a creative, enchanted soul who grew up in nearby Concord amongst nature and the spirits of his ancestors. He had a profound love of nature, history, literature, and art. He grew up to be an artist and designer for theatre, opera, film and top fashion designers.

Felixology is committed to being more than just a retail location, but a safe, welcoming, community space that harkens back to the carefree, magical days of childhood. Those who rode out the pandemic locally in 2020 may remember SLAM Dunkle riding his bike around the Concord and Maynard area in costume, playing guitar or trumpet. He became a viral and media sensation with folks posting photos of sightings daily.

Now Matt Dunke, AKA SLAM Dunkle, has written 2 books to chronicle his adventures. SLAM describes his memoir Riding Out Loud as, "...a kaleidoscope of intimate and vulnerable insight into what happened before, during and after the Halloween 'Headless-Horseman-on-a-bike' spectacle."

SLAM's poetry book, Straight From The Corpse/s Couch is described as," ... a collection of 19 lyrical pieces by SLAM Dunkle—surreal, funny, dark, romantic, irreverent, and occasionally unhinged."

The Bedford Cultural District is sponsoring its second annual wreath decorating contest as part of the annual community Artisans Market and Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 5, on the Town Common. Individuals, families, and businesses are invited to decorate a wreath and spread holiday cheer to the community.

Twenty contest display spaces are available! Local scouts from Boy Scout Troop #114 will be selling the wreaths starting in mid-October, as well as online beginning on November 1. The cost is $17 for a plain wreath, and $21 for one with a bow. Wreaths may be reserved at https://forms.gle/vbtCRMPrXxiXX4zJ8, with a deadline of November 8, 6 pm, for ordering. Delivery will be on November 21 or 22.

Decorations are up to the creative imagination of each entrant. Finished wreaths should be dropped off at the Town Common on Saturday, December 5, from 11am to 1pm.

Artisans Market and Tree Lighting attendees can purchase raffle tickets on the Town Common on December 5 from 2pm to 6pm and vote for their favorite wreath—and get a chance to win that exact wreath! The wreaths will be raffled off at 6pm, and the Cultural District will award a prize to the decorators for the three wreaths that are voted most popular.

All contest proceeds will directly support the Bedford Food Pantry.

Concord Women’s Chorus (CWC), fostering the power of women’s voices in song, presents its winter concert, “Sing We Noel: Songs of Peace and Joy,” on Saturday, December 5, 4 pm, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 81 Elm Street, Concord. Led by Artistic Director and Conductor Jane Ring Frank, recipient of the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award from Choral Arts New England, the program features accompanist Simon Andrews and welcomes guest artist Kenneth Mok, violin. 

From a vast catalogue of traditional carols and anthems, CWC offers luxurious arrangements of some of the genre’s best and most beloved tunes. Mendelssohn’s exquisite writing for women’s voices (“Laudate Pueri” and “Veni Pueri”) leads the concert, giving way to sweeping arrangements of “Away in a Manger,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Sing We Now of Christmas” and more. Witty and harmonically rich arrangements are heard in Michele Weir’s jazz versions of “Winter Wonderland,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and others. Dan Forrest’s gorgeous “Shalom” completes the concert – a heartfelt audience favorite.

Guest artist Kenneth Mok, violinist, has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including Collegium Musicum Hong Kong, Boston Chamber Orchestra, UMass Boston Chamber Orchestra, and Hong Kong Baptist University Orchestra. Closing with a rousing carol sing-along, the program is sure to please and add joy and warmth to a chilly winter afternoon.

CWC is pleased to participate in the Mass Cultural Council’s Card to Culture program, in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance and hundreds of organizations, making cultural programming accessible to those for whom cost is a barrier. Therefore, CWC offers EBT cardholders the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets for $10 each.

Concord Women's Chorus is a 55-singer ensemble that draws singers from Concord and the greater Boston area. The ensemble performs a wide variety of choral music, ranging from early music to contemporary repertoire, with an emphasis on works written for women’s voices.  CWC will soon be releasing a professional recording of its commissioned works, produced by Grammy Award-winning studio SoundMirror.
